April Happenings

April was another busy month! I'm sensing a theme after typing all these blog posts. The busyness will continue through the summer but they are all fun things so we are embracing the busy!  First up, we had Jadyn and Jordyn for a week in April.  We kept them over their spring break and had fun exploring Akron with a 12, 9, 5, 3 and 1 year old!
We met my mom in Sandusky and spent a night at Castaway Bay waterpark and then drove back with the kids to Akron.  We did just about everything we could do in the Akron area during a rainy and cold April.  We went to 5 below and everyone got to pick out toys, we played at Amazone indoor playground, Ben took the kids to a Cavaliers game, we went to the library, and ate and played at McDonald's.  Having 5 kids was challenging but fun. Jadyn and Jordyn are pretty helpful around the house and with the kids, but also create a different dynamic for our family that throws things off a bit.  Jadyn also babysat for me while I got a hair cut one day and went on Lucy's fieldtrip at school so it was great to have her around to help!
Towards the end of the month it started to warm up outside and we got to start spending more and more time playing outside.

Some random silliness from April...

Here is our little baby princess, all dressed up....

Our house in springtime is so beautiful.  This shot reminds me of all I have to be thankful for....

My little snuggle bunny...

My little performers...
I love the way these three work together.  You can tell our kids our led by their big sis - she often gets them all together for singing and dancing performances, and they happily participate.

Katy and Brandon came to visit the last weekend of April for our anniversary.  They watched the kids on Saturday while we went out for breakfast, got couples massages and went to a marriage conference at our church.  We had such a fun day out celebrating and were so thankful to have such great friends who would come all the way to Akron and hang out with our kids for the afternoon. To thank them we all went out that night to continue the celebrations on 4th street in downtown Cleveland.
And of course June and Hank had to check out their "Lambo" a little before they left...
