Halloween 2015

Woops, just realized I did Thanksgiving before Halloween! Oh well! These pictures are from Hank's preschool party.  Hank was Captain America and June was a puppy dog.  We played games and ate snacks and trick or treated at a retirement home.

The week of Halloween we painted pumpkins, carved pumpkins and went to a fall festival at Lucy's school where the kids got to walk around and trick or treat at each classroom.
We painted pumpkins right after bath time, which turns out was not a good idea!  I think they had fun though!

This was a special year for us in Akron because we got to trick-or-treat on actual Halloween! Akron has a weird tradition of having trick or treating the Saturday before October 31st.  It's the one thing I haven't grown accustomed to here in Akron, so I was ecstatic when October 31st landed on a Saturday this year.  Not only did we get to trick-or-treat on Halloween, it was also great weather, and Ben's parents were in town so we had a nice time hanging out with them.
Batman, Batgirl and a puppy dog.  I think Hank changed his costume about 3 times, and this was not the one I had gotten for him this year, but it was free - so whatever!

Our neighbor, Estella, and Lucy
These next few pictures are just too precious of June.  She was such a sweet little puppy dog.

June and Hank only made it a few blocks.  Lucy and I continued walking a bit with Estella and Mason and then came back to talk candy statistics with all the neighbor kids.
All in all we had a great night.  We did a bonfire out front with Ben's parents, had some vegetable beef soup to warm up at the end of the night and got a lot of candy! A perfect Halloween!
