Baptism

A few weeks ago, Ben and I decided to get baptized with a couple other members from our small group.  Neither of us had been baptized as adults and wanted to take the opportunity to show our commitment to our faith and give an outward symbol for the change that happened in both of our hearts years ago when we first gave our lives to Christ.  

This is something we've been wanting to do for a while, but just hadn't found the right opportunity.  We would have loved for our family and friends from Indy to be a part of the ceremony, but we figured we had made enough excuses and needed to do what God commands us to do when the opportunity presented itself.

 


All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18–20

Four members of our life group were baptized in the back yard of our life group leaders yard on a Wednesday night during life group.  It was a perfect night.
