Our Halloween was a bit different this year... In Akron, they do trick or treating the Saturday prior to Halloween. This landed on the 26th this year, which also happened to overlap with our trip to Indy. Sad...
So we missed the traditional trick or treating in our neighborhood, and I was pretty bummed, but despite that we ended up having a pretty fun day. I also thought I'd be pretty bummed being away from family, but luckily we were so busy, I barely had time to think about it!
We started our day with some orange pancakes with black syrup...
Our first stop was Lucy's preschool for her Harvest Party. Hank got to join in all the fun, and I even got him to wear his full costume (of course he would never put on the hat) and he only cried for about 5 minutes after getting it on!
Lucy is really into princesses right now, so her costume was easy to get on (and has been worn most days the past few weeks!)
Here's a picture from Lucy's school...
After the party, we stopped by a neighbors to play and eat some pizza at a little Halloween party. And finally when Ben got home, we decided to go to a mall down the road for indoor trick or treating. I'm not sure what this is regularly like, but it was pouring down rain here in Akron, so the mall was jam packed. We didn't stay long (and luckily Lucy and Hank didn't protest), but we had time to get a few pieces of candy and take a ride on the carousel...
